Mrs. Dany Richey is currently a first grade and Innovation Club teacher at Sierra Madre Elementary School. She is GATE and Design-Based Learning Certified, has taught PEF Summer Enrichment classes for two years, and is a Pasadena and Sierra Madre Rotary Teacher of Excellence.

2020 Summer At Home Lessons
New Video Lessons will be shared every Monday beginning June 8, 2020.
Lesson 1. Cardboard Tube Flinger (2 toilet paper tubes, pencil, pen 2 rubber bands, scissors, marshmallow or small object). Using 2 cardboard tubes and some engineering skills, you can use this tool to fling small objects across the room!
Lesson 2. PinBall Machine (box or cardboard, paper, marble, tape or glue). Harness your gaming potential as you create a pinball style game to entertain your family.
Lesson 3. Spoon catapults (spoon, 8 popsicle sticks, 2 rubber bands). Use stored energy to hurl a small object across the room!
Lesson 4. Recycled robots (boxes, bottles, cans, paper, glue, lids, decorative doodads). Repurpose household junk to create a robotic masterpiece!
Lesson 5. Cup Racers (2 coffee cups with lids, tape, 3 rubber bands, paper clip, 1 bead, 1 washer, 1 straw). Wind up your rubber band and watch your cup car race across the floor!!
