You will choose one main class for the day – it will be your child’s base for a vibrant summer day. Through added elements of art, science, and/or movement, each class will be a full and rich experience – one that offers deep learning, but most of all, fun.

Introduction to Kindergarten Mandarin Immersion

Designed to prepare students entering into PUSD’s Mandarin Immersion Program, students will have fun learning basic instructions and vocabulary in Mandarin.  Activities will include language arts, mathematics, art, and music.

Introduction to Kindergarten

Children prepare for kindergarten by engaging in language arts, mathematics, art, and music. This fun introduction enhances their readiness for both the social and academic settings of elementary school. Students must be five years old by Sept. 1, 2021.

Introduction to First Grade Mandarin Immersion

Reinforces reading, math, and the language skills learned in the first two years of PUSD's Mandarin Immersion Program. Class is open to any student who has already completed two years of a Mandarin immersion program. Students must be seven years old by Sept. 1, 2021.

Introduction to First Grade

Designed to help ease the transition from kindergarten to 1st grade, students will engage in creative, thematic activities that reinforce reading and mathematics. As students are introduced to 1st grade curriculum, they will gain skills for academic success. Students must be six years old by Sept. 1, 2021.

Tennis Camp

Learning the fundamentals of tennis such as footwork, grip, and stance, are essential to becoming a competitive player, but it's only the beginning in this tennis camp! As players build on basic strokes, practice their serve and return serve, and put their skills to the test playing against each other, they will study and reaserch the game of tennis, journal their findings, learn about healthy habbits, and even participate in yoga!

Innovation Club

Invent, sketch, create, engineer, code, and explore how things work in this project-based class. Students will use the Engineering/Design Process to explore LED lights, vibrating motors, rockets, airplanes, race cars, boats, pinball machines, catapults, zip lines, structures, bridges, and so much more!

Creativetopia!

Find your joy and learn about yourself and others through dance/movement, music, writing, visual art and even ceramics! Spark your imagination by creating unique compositions in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, illustration, and comics. Each day will include core practices of mindfulness and deep breathing. This class is a haven for self-discovery.
